The Museum's Research Centre is fittingly located in a building originally built as a Guardhouse, but converted in the 1850s into a library and reading room. The Centre houses the Museum's library and collections of photographs and newspapers.
A research enquiry service is available for those researching the history of the island or their own personal family history.
